![]() Family FriendlyĪlthough they use pixel graphics there is a ton of violence in this game with not only your weapons but saws and bombs. Bosses and pacing keep you dodging and shooting almost non stop until you clear the level, this little down time keeps you focused on your mission. EngagingĬhanging characters on death or restart keeps you on your toes on how you want to play, from throwing random grenades from a distances to dashing in with a machete and much more in between. ![]() They also offer extra lives along the way to help you get by as long as you rescue some friends. The fast pace style of this game can have its difficult moments but with the quick responses it does not make deaths feel that bad as you can just drop right back and try again. What makes this game fun is it knows exactly what it wants to be and that’s non stop action, you are dropped in and go, they have a variety of characters many of which you will recognize form different action movies. You can play it together remotely off of one copy, shared screen and online co-op so you are not limited in how you want to play. Taking the camera away doesn't have to discourage co-op, and other systems could encourage it more strongly. This game makes it super easy to just drop in and run and gun. Teamwork options exist when players attack from different angles, rather than just firing bullets from the same area at the same time. In a game like Broforce, where the stages can be huge, and give you multiple ways to shoot your way through terrain.the shared camera just becomes a hinderance. Shared screens make some sense in local play when you only have one large screen, as it can work better than split screen. Even just a subtle highlight or Bro-aura would go a long way. Yeah.I forgot to mention that it can be tough keeping track of your own character with everything going on. There are better ways to promote group play instead of this annoying camera. Not only is it too easy to lose the position of your character due to them blending into the background or being covered by foreground effects, but you can lose your character off the screen completely if someone you're playing with goes off on their own. Originally posted by monkeyhobo:It is BAD design though. ![]() It gets to the point where I have more fun and survive better playing by myself. ![]() So either we get an enemy that kills us off screen, can't dodge in a certain direction, or the screen just zooms out really far making it tougher to make things out.Īlso, that bug where my friend had his character duplicated like he was some fake player 3.still had the shared camera bound to him. With the way explosions can chain off each other for long distances, how fast players can and need to move, and how large the levels are including tunneling through ground with bullets.we naturally get separated at points, or want to strike enemies from multiple places instead of one.Įventually we hit points where one of us can't go further forward, back, up or down, much less see an enemy because we hit the shared camera boundary. I can kind of get the purpose for it in local multiplayer on one TV/Monitor, but online it makes no sense to me, and only weakens the game. Just going to throw out that I love the overall game itself, but apart from the basic early access glitches like my friend duplicating another character that kills itself.we both hated the shared screen. ![]()
